Here comes the Summer!

Here comes the Summer!

Passport, sun cream, phone charger; everything you need for your summer break. But, before you head off for a few weeks of well-earned relaxation, there are a few things you might like to put in place in your SchoolMate account before the next academic year begins.

  • Deactivate students and lower costs!

A great way to reduce your schools costs over the quiet summer months is to make students inactive. You do this by moving them into the archives; you can archive whole companies and groups, you do not have to do students one-by-one. Nothing is lost and when students etc., return after the holidays you can reactivate them. You can find out more in this tutorial.

  • Add holidays for the next academic year.

You need to enter your holidays for the coming year so that the system will create the correct number of lessons. This is particularly important for groups which are created according to the number of hours or lessons. It is much easier to put the holidays in before you start adding lessons. You can find out more with this tutorial.

  • Payment plans with new payment dates and amounts.

If you offer students the opportunity to pay for courses in instalments you will want to create new payment schedules to appear on student payment records. There is a tutorial here. Remember to date when the installments are due!

  • Discounts offered.

Are you going to add to or change any of the discounts you offer students? Now is the time to do it. Discounts are explained here.

  • Contracts, certificates and other documents.

Now is a good time to review all your document templates. Are there any parts that need to be updated? Are the GDPR requirements covered. Find out more here.

  • Registration Module.

If you are using this module make sure that groups offered and prices are accurate. More on the module here.
